Spago: Located at the Four Seasons Maui, Wolfgang Puck’s Spago is where we decide upon. We begin with the Broiled miso marinated hawaiian walu with marinated cucumber salad, baby avocado, micro greens and sesame aioli. The fish is buttery and silky, with a nice textural balance with the crunch of the salad.

Marinated broiled walu

Sauteed coconut crab cake.
As an interesting tidbit, our waitress tells us that she grew up in Wasilla Alaska. Wasilla you say, isn’t that the town Sara Palin is from? Yes...in fact our waitress used to babysit for the Palins. Small world.
The crabcake is nice and crisp on the outside. Very loosely packed with crab meat. The upcountry sweet basil aioli that accompanies the dish is mild but creamy. |

The beautifully presented Asian inspired curry is interactive too! You can make the curry sweeter or spicier with the sauces. Two of us shared this- a hefty serving for small eaters. Shrimp, opakapaka, Mahi Mahi, galangal, kaffir lime, thai basil and green papaya salad.

(clockwise) Amazing shot of passionfruit and cream; very refreshing. The silky ono amuse- delicious, and of course requisite Kona coffee.

Kona coffee what a glorious aroma

The chef prepare omlettes to order; beautifully fresh pastries; a cereal and juice bar
The breakfast buffet was packed with people; with beautiful views of D.T. Fleming Beach, this is an excellent way to start the day.
