/ K&S Media

Cozy evenings by the fireplace call for comfort food and simple luxuries. Trust us, you won’t miss the restaurant meal one bit!

#instagrammable

Your feed is full of beautiful culinary images of parties, food platters and other #omgfood goodies. Think of your dining table as an IG square — fill the table with natural elements like golden fall leaves over a linen tablerunner.

THE MENU

Turn your dining room into a makeshift restaurant.  Think of simple but special ingredients that deliver big results — freshly shucked oysters and prawns served with a mignonette, or grilled asparagus with ribbons of parmesan and toasted hazelnuts.

THE MAIN DISH

Have a vegetarian on hand? Rethink the meal’s centrepiece and make vegetables special.  Roast a thick slice of cauliflower in a combination of olive oil and butter until golden and caramelized.

EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN

Sure mesclun greens are fancy, but they can also be expensive and hard to find.  Why not simplify things. Take a head of iceberg, cut into four wedges and serve with a creamy blue cheese dressing, and cascade of finely sliced red onion?
