Fever Reducing Tea

Herbs for Childrens Health


This is a classic formula for treating colds, flus, and fevers. Variations of it can be found in health food stores and markets today.

2     parts catnip leaf
2     parts elder blossom
1     part echinacea root
1     part peppermint leaf

1    Mix the herbs and store in an airtight container until ready to use.
2    To prepare, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1 teaspoon of the mixture and let steep, covered, for 1 hour.
3     Administer every 30 minutes, following the dosage guidelines beginning on page 92.
