From sporty ponytails to feminine ribbons and girly hair pins, hair accessories were everywhere on the Spring 2016 runways.

The key to the look? Texture. To create that effortless, ‘lived in’ hair, use a salt spray on dry hair, and curl random 1 ½ inch (4 cm) strands for a few seconds. Use a wide tooth comb to brush out sections. From there, you can amp up locks with a loose braid affixed with a black velvet ribbon (seen on the Oscar de la Renta runway), use an elastic band (a la Christopher Kane), or a pretty embellished barrette, seen at Rodarte.
