Mulled Wine

A warming, fragrant brew, with all the spices reminiscent of holiday’s past.

Serves 4

Peel a large orange in one strip. Pour one bottle (3 cups) of red wine in a saucepan. Add orange peel, 2 cardamom pods, crushed 6 whole cloves, 6 allspice berries, 6 whole black peppercorns, 1 cinnamon stick, 5 tablespoons agave nectar, and 1/4 cup brandy. Set over medium heat for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low allowing flavours to infuse about 25 minutes. Strain through a sieve. Serve with candied orange peel if desired.
